Halloween

To start off the day we went and visited my grandparents, Bob's and Babe's, to get some special treats and let them see the kiddos in their costumes. Marek got a little confused and upset that we weren't actually going trick-or-treating, but we got through it. Marek was so excited this year. It was really cute. However, with excitement comes a little bit of craziness and frustration as well unfortunately. We finally headed out to trick-or-treat at 5:00, yes really early, and did a whole loop around our neighborhood. By the end of the loop we had two tired out kids that were ready to go home, and so were we! Here are some pictures of our little spiderman and zebra. Happy Halloween!!!

Pumpkin Carving

I am almost certain that Brandon and I have carved pumpkins every year since we have been together (nearly 12 years in all). It's no secret that we LOVE Halloween, and decorate for it just as much as we do Christmas. So, pumpkin carving is something we definitely look forward to! This year Nana got in on the action and "helped" Marek carve his pumpkin. It was messy fun and we loved every minute of it! Here are some pics of the carving fun.

Green Bluff

After church today we headed up to Green Bluff with Nana to take advantage of the beautiful weather to pick some pumpkins and enjoy all of the fall festivities. We started at Siemer's where we went on a "train ride" around the farm. Marek LOVED it! He had a big grin on his face the whole time. After that Marek tackled the HUGE blowup slide. I was pretty impressed that he climbed all the way up to the top and went down by himself! The kiddos then played a few rounds of feed the pigs (they were big pig cut-outs that they could throw bean bags into the mouths). Unfortunately, McKenna enjoyed putting the bean bags into her own mouth much more then the pigs.:) Then we had both of the kiddos pick out their own pumpkins. After that we headed to Harvest House, where Marek and McKenna both got to ride on a pony and pet a multitude of animals in the petting zoo! I love fall! Here are some pictures of all the fun.

Marek is 3

How is our baby boy 3 years old today. My oh my have these three years flown by. Today was fun and simple. We took Marek out to Burger King for his birthday lunch, which was his request. And then we had a small family party at our house with pizza and of course birthday cake. The theme of Marek's birthday was superheros, one of his favorite things at the moment. I have to say that the biggest change this year was that he really got into opening presents! He was practically ripping the paper to shreds to get to his toys, and when he saw the toys he was elated. It was really fun to watch! He got a lot of neat toys, including hulk hands from his grandma Barbra and aunt Suey, an amazing batman/superman cape and mask from his uncle Kyle, aunt Stacie, and cousin Knox, and Real Steel action figures from his Nana. His cake was made by his Grandma Barbra, and it was a really cute superhero scene that he absolutely loved!!! Thank you for giving us so much joy over the last 3 years Marek Isaiah! We LOVE you to pieces!
