Fall Is Here

Fall is officially here, and how do I know? Leaves. Yup, we have a crap ton of leaves in our back yard. Luckily we have two able bodied kids that can help in that department this year! :) Marek and McKenna helped Brandon with our first racking session of the season (I say first because there will be many more). And by helped I pretty much mean they played in them.

The Many Faces of Micah

We have a two month old! Our chubby cheeked little baby boy is changing every day. Micah is very much aware of everything that's going on around him, especially since his brother and sister are so loud and crazy. I especially love that's he has started to smile and coo! One thing I find super cute is the fact that he is very smitten with McKenna. He smiles at her the most...and she LOVES it!!!It's the best when we get to see little glimpses of his personality coming through. Here are some pics of his cute little faces as of late. Seriously he is so delicious!!!

Marek Turns 5!!!

How in the heck does time keep flying by so fast!!! We celebrated out big 5 year old this Saturday at his Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle themed birthday party, which he loved! It's hard to believe that next year he will be in Kindergarten (tear)! However, it has been amazing to see the transformation that Marek has undergone in the last year. I honestly think that for him 5 is the magic  number!!! He's just happy and silly all of the time, not to mention a really great big brother as well! It's a really great feeling, as a parent, to see your child come into there own, and I think that is exactly what our Marek is doing. He's growing and maturing and even though its hard to let go its really neat to witness! We are so excited to see what this year continues to bring for Marek! Happy Birthday buddy! We love you to pieces!!!

Marek Starts Preschool

To be honest with you preschool was never something I thought I would have my kids do. Don't get me wrong I think preschool is great, but for me I just want my kids to be at home with me for as long as they can. They have a lifetime of school ahead of them and I never want to look back and regret not taking advantage of the time I have with them. With that being said, I realized last year with Marek that doing one year of preschool before he goes off to Kindergarten would be great for him! The fun part has been seeing how absolutely excited he has been to start! We had his open house on Monday and he was beaming from ear to ear the whole time! I thought I would be more emotional about dropping him off yesterday for his first day, but it was such a joy to see how happy and ready he was to go! Life is moving by way to quickly!!!

Photo Shoot

My brother and his family came up from Boise to visit and meet the baby Micah for Labor day weekend, and while they were here my sister-in-law Stacie (who has a little photography biz on the side) did a little photo session with us! Besides the fact that Micah wasn't the happiest of campers (in his defense it was time for him to eat) it went really well and the pictures turned out great! I can' wait to order the pics and get them up on the wall! Thanks Stacie!!!

The Fair

I would love to say that we had a great time at the fair, but that would just not be true. Going against Brandon's suggestion to bring the double stroller before we left was a HUGE mistake. About a half an hour in the whining started! Marek and McKenna both wanted to be held the whole time. There were some fun moments like feeding the animals at the petting zoo, riding the carrousel, and going on a train tour though. What can you do? That's life right! Maybe next year will be better! :)

1 Month Old

It's amazing how fast a month can go by! Our chubby cheeked little Micah is having more wakeful time everyday and is constantly looking all around with his big blue grey eyes. It really is sad how fast it goes. He's just about to outgrow his newborn cloths and move up to the next size. :( Things are going pretty good around here though. With our fall schedule in place and a regular routine things seem really manageable. Big brother and sister still adore their little brother and tend to smother him with kisses (seriously we constantly have to tell them to give him some room). Other then struggling with a 5 or so day bought of gassiness at night Micah's is still an easy going precious little guy! I don't want time to go by to fast, but I am looking forward to getting a full night sleep sometime soon and I can't wait to see his little personality start coming though! :)

Micah Makes 5

It seems like this whole summer has been a countdown to Micah's arrival. That's the nice thing about having a scheduled C-section. Knowing the exact date and time is a luxury! :) So, when Tuesday came it was almost surreal to get in the car at 4:45 in the morning with our bags packed to meet the final member of our family. Since this was my third C-section I knew exactly what to expect, but having a major surgery is always a little scary. Thankfully the surgery went really well, and at 7:45 am little Micah made his way into this world with a healthy cry. He was the sturdiest of all of our kids weighing in at 7 lbs 15 oz and was 19 inches long, and resembled his big brother quite a bit!!! I find myself just starring at him in awe of how little he is, but also trying to drink in every moment of his infancy since he is my last baby. So far Micah seems to be a happy laid back little guy. He doesn't cry very much, and is already sleeping in 3 hour chunks at night. The most exciting part is the fact that Marek and McKenna are in love with him! This morning they were even fighting about who got to hold and feed him. Thank you for completing our family Micah! You are so precious buddy!!! We couldn't be more in love with you!
