It's almost impossible to believe that Marek is 4! I remember bringing all 5 lbs 10 ounces of him home from the hospital, and now he weighs a whopping 40 lbs and is 40 inches tall! Time is flying by and I feel like he is literally getting bigger right in front of our eyes with every passing day. It's amazing to see how much our little guy has matured and changed over the course of a year. He has such an amazing imagination...which mainly involves fire fighters and police officers. :) But I think what I love the most about Marek is that he lives and loves BIG! He puts it all out there in everything that he does, and I hope that's a characteristic that stays with him for the rest of his life! He's got an amazing little heart that so frequently melts mine! I am so thankful every day that God gave us Marek and is entrusting us to raise him! What a blessing you are Marek Isaiah!

Fall
Fall is here and we are definitely trying to get outside as much as possible while the weather is still decent. I have to admit that we have been pretty busy lately with 2 MOPS groups, a weekly bible study, our new small group, and play dates in between. With that said, I really haven't taken any pictures lately. So, today after lunch when the kids wanted to go play outside I thought it would be the prefect opportunity to get out my camera! Of course, they were automatically drawn to the wet muddy sandbox, but that's no surprise. Marek was apparently digging a pool with his tractor, and McKenna was unfortunately throwing dirt EVERYWHERE. While throwing dirt is not cute, watching my kids become little playmates over the last few months has been! Also, I took a few pictures of McKenna eating my lunch as well. She has developed a habit, as of late, of eating off of other people plates when they are left unattended! :) Such a silly girl!

Visitors :)
My cousin Amanda and her beautiful daughter Frankie came up from Seattle this weekend for a quick visit. Marek really enjoyed playing with Frankie, he followed her around like a puppy doing anything and everything she did. It was really cute! They played Lego's, tag, created pictures with sidewalk chalk, baked cookies with Great Grandma Babes, and played games together on the kindle and iPad. What a blessing to have an older cousin play so well with our Little's! Thanks for visiting Amanda and Frankie!

Oregon Coast
How is it that we spent the whole month of August counting down the days until our vacation, and like that it is already over? We love the Oregon Coast: Seaside, Cannon Beach, Rockaway... the list could go on, but what we look forward to the most without a doubt is the time spent with family. This year there were 5 adults and 4 kids ages three and under, and though it was a bit chaotic it was so fun to see the cousins interact. Marek and Knox were best little buddies with McKenna hanging right in there doing whatever they were, and then baby Isla a happy and adorable audience to the older three. Highs were definitely bumper cars, the carousel, two beautiful beach days, Tillamook ice cream, Farkle (if you haven't played it you should), and the fabulous deals we found at the Lincoln City outlets. Lows would have to be battling the stomach flu the last two days...yep I could have done with out that! I honestly wish we could of had another week because it just went by way to fast. We love you Kyle, Stacie, Knox, Isla, and Nana!!! Hopefully we will get to see you in October! :)
